Privacy
It’s your logbook. It stays in your hands.
You earned every hour in that book. If you paid us to convert your paper pages, that work is yours too. So LogAligned keeps your logbook where it belongs — on your device, under your control. We never take a copy.
Why no server is the whole point
Every logbook app you’ve used uploads your flights to somebody’s server. Ours doesn’t, on purpose:
- Nobody can lock you out of your own hours. Not us, not a lapsed subscription, not a company that shuts down.
- Your book can’t leak from a server it was never on.
- We can’t lose it, sell it, or mine it. We don’t have it.
What stays on your device
Stays local
- Importing your ForeFlight, LogTen, MyFlightbook, or CSV file
- Every audit check
- Currency tracking
- Your saved logbook and edits
- Exports and printed pages, including the 8710 report
- Your backup file
All of it works with the internet off.
What gets sent, and when
Three features use AI, and the AI runs on a server. Each one sends something only when you press its button:
Sent when you press the button
- Scanning a paper page sends your photo of the page.
- Asking about a scanned page sends your question and that page.
- Asking about an audit finding sends your question, the finding, and your totals. Hit “preview” first to see exactly what goes.
We pass it along, get the answer, and hand it back. We don’t keep any of it.
What we keep
Three things:
Kept
- Your IP address, up to 24 hours. It runs a rate limiter that stops abuse. Then it’s gone.
- Flagged answers. Press “Get a second look” and we receive your question and the answer — and we keep them, so we can fix what went wrong. That’s the only button that saves anything. If you don’t want an exchange kept, don’t flag it.
- Error logs. When something breaks, the server notes what broke. Never your logbook, your photos, or your questions.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site.
- Anthropic runs the AI, under their terms.
Nobody else. No analytics, no ads, no trackers.
One catch
Because we keep nothing, we can’t recover your logbook if you clear your browser data. Download a backup file and email it to yourself — that copy is the only one that exists.
Changes
If what leaves your device ever changes, this page changes first, and we’ll say so on the site.
